MADONNA UPDATE: ANOTHER RECORD FOR THE QUEEN
US Billboard has announced that Madonna's Confessions Tour, which ended in Tokyo on September 21, is officially the highest-earning show of all time by a female artist. 1.2 million people attended the shows, making $193.7 million. The previous record was set by Cher's Farewell Tour, which played 273 shows over three years. Madonna played only 60 shows in less than five months ... I guess she really is the Queen afterall!
In other news, Madonna is threatening to no longer allow NBC to air her television special due to the fact that the network has asked her to edit-out the 'crucifixion' scene of her tour.
