MADONNA UPDATE: GET READY TO JUMP!
Madonna's fifth and final single from COADF will be Jump. The song will be released commercially on October 10th with a radio edit released to stations in early September. The album version of the song is already being played on radio stations througout North America.Jonas Akerlund, the man behind I'm Going to Tell You a Secret and the video for Ray of Light, has been chosen by Madonna to direct the new Jump video. The shoot will take place in Tokyo next month when the Material Girl kicks off the Asian leg of her Confessions Tour.
There's only so much you can learn in one place. The more that I wait, the more time that I waste ... are you ready?

COVES AND VALLEYS: MOM AND NANNY COME TO VISIT
Mom and Nanny Winnie recently came to spend some time with me in Halifax. They had a relaxing and fun-filled vacation and two people could not have deserved it more after a difficult and emotional year of sitting by my grandfather's side while he was sick. From the casino to Mahone bay, from rock-climbing in Peggy's Cove to apple picking in the Valley, we had quite an adventurous time together. We laughed and gossiped, drank lots of tea with Carnation milk, ate way too much white bread, reminisced about Poppy Stratton and complained about crazy family members.
My mom and nanny are two of the most important people in my life and I'm so happy I got to spend this time with them!

I cannot believe that Summer 2006 is already at its end. I guess time really does fly when you're having the time of your life! Countless adventures and misadventures were had by all over the past few months. There was love and loss, laughter and tears. Wonderful new friendships and relationships blossomed while others withered and fell apart. Old friends returned from afar and others sadly bid us farewell. It was a summer filled with music, and dancing, eating and drinking, fires and lakes, and playing with friends in the sunshine. There were plenty of firsts and lasts, and I will treasure both equally. It was, to use a word spoken more than any other in the last few months, summer of the "BUZZ!" And now it's done ...
So, let me say to Peter, Brendan, Jules, Phil, Jake, Kevin, Marcus, Steve, Scott, Peter S., Patrick, Charles, Benjie, Paul, Andrew, Sara, Darcy, Kent, Gilles, Jana, Stephen, Jessica, Tara, Chase, Kevin H., Darcy L., Julie, Amanda, Jody, Matt, and especially to my partners in crime, Jeff and Joseph - Thanks for giving me some of the best memories of my life this summer ... I love you all :-)
