GOD SAVE THE QUEEN(S)
We attended the C100 premiere of The Queen last night at Park Lane. Queens in attendance included myself, Jo, Brendan, Scott, Stephen, Jeff
and Andrew. It was a good film, kind of movie-of-the-weekish, but Helen Mirren was absolutely fantastic as Queen Elizabeth II ... OSCAR! I was really intrigued to see how they were going to "realistically" portray her during, but I really didn't come out of the movie feeling there were any revelations or new insights. I said at one point that Tony Blair must have single-handedly financed the movie because it certainly portrayed him in the most favourable light of any other character. In all, it was a good movie though and it was fun that all of us went together.
Afterwards we went to my place to watch some Thursday night TV. My apologies for my apartment smelling like vagina guys! Grey's was good, as per usual. Obviously not good enough to keep Jo from nodding off tho. He actually had the nerve to wake up during a commercial break and say "there are a lot of commercials in this!" To which I replied, "well perhaps it would be better if you slept during commercials and stayed awake while the show is on!" Loves it. I think Jo has some type of movie/TV narcolepsy cause he can rarely avoid falling asleep for at least a few minutes.
We discussed our big plans for Halloween and I was getting a little too excited. My friends are going to start thinking I am repressing certain feelings and desires ... I don't wan to be a woman guys, I SWEAR!
It was another fun evening. Thanks for the invite Jo and thanks to my other "queens" for the always great company!
